About the Color Studio

What is the Calm Cozy Color Studio?

The Color Studio is a set of free tools to help you choose sensory friendly colors and build a low stimulation color palette. It includes a calming color generator, mood-based palettes, printable swatch sheets, and colour recipes.

All tools are designed to reduce visual and cognitive load, so they can be useful if you experience sensory overwhelm or overstimulation or prefer fewer, calmer colour choices when colouring.

How do I use the mood palettes and swatch sheets?

First, use the Daily Mood Check or my calming color generator to get a suggested palette. Then you can download a printable swatch sheet for that palette from the Color Studio so you can test your markers or pencils and note the colour numbers.

Swatch sheets help you keep a consistent low stimulation color palette across sessions and reduce the effort of choosing colours each time.

What is a low stimulation color palette?

A low stimulation color palette is a small set of muted, harmonious colours chosen to reduce visual demand. It usually avoids bright or highly saturated hues and strong contrast between neighbouring colours.

Such palettes are often used for overstimulation help and to support focus, and they can make colouring more accessible for neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive people.

About the Daily Mood Check

What is the Daily Mood Check?

The Daily Mood Check is a short tool where you set three sliders—energy level, emotional intensity, and visual sensitivity—and then get a suggested calm colour palette. It’s designed to offer overstimulation help and to point you toward colours that may feel easier on your eyes and nervous system.

Many people use it to find the best colors for anxiety or for days when they want a gentle, low stimulation color palette without spending time choosing colours themselves.

How does the Daily Mood Check work?

You move three sliders to reflect your current energy, emotional intensity, and visual sensitivity. When you click “Generate My Palette”, the tool matches your answers to a predefined calm palette from the Color Studio.

The result is a set of four colours you can use with printable coloring pages for adults or any of the inclusive coloring books. You can then download a swatch sheet for that palette if you like.

About the Coloring Books & Pages

What printable coloring pages for adults do you offer?

There are free printable coloring pages for adults (join the community to download), premium single-page PDFs you can order by email, and full digital inclusive coloring books as PDFs. Paperbacks are also available on Amazon.

All of these are designed as low-stimulation, calm options suitable for sensory-sensitive and neurodivergent colourists.

What is the difference between paperback and digital books?

Paperback books are printed via Amazon and use thinner paper. Digital books are PDFs you download and print at home on the paper of your choice.

So if you prefer thicker paper or want to reprint pages, the digital inclusive coloring books give you more flexibility.

How many pages are in each coloring book?

Each digital cozy coloring book contains 50 coloring pages, plus extras depending on the book. You may print the pages for personal use as often as you like.

Are the free coloring pages the same style as the books?

The free pages include a mix of cozy and calming styles. The books follow a more consistent theme and structure, but both are designed to be low-stimulation and accessible.

May I share the digital files with others?

No. Digital books and premium PDFs are for personal use only. Please do not share or redistribute the files; this supports an independent creator and future books.

Which countries can order digital books?

At this time, digital book payments are available for Dutch customers only. International options are planned for the future.

About Accessibility & Pricing

Why are your coloring books and printable coloring pages so affordable?

Both my coloring books and printable pages are intentionally priced for accessibility. Because I work as an independent creator and keep overhead low, I can keep prices gentle. This way, sensory-friendly coloring remains within reach for people with limited energy, health challenges, or a tight budget.

Are your coloring books suitable for autistic or neurodivergent people?

Yes. The books and pages are designed with neurodiversity in mind. Illustrations are calm, predictable, and low-stimulating, with familiar themes. Many people with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or sensory sensitivity find them soothing and accessible.

The Color Studio tools, including sensory friendly colors and a low stimulation color palette, are also there to support anyone who finds colour choice overwhelming. Try the calming color generator for ready-made palettes.

Are the books suitable if I have chronic fatigue or an invisible illness?

Yes. The books are created with energy limits and sensory load in mind. Pages are intentionally calm and not visually overwhelming, so they can work for quiet moments, rest periods, or low-energy days.

Printable coloring pages for adults and the inclusive coloring books are all designed to be accessible creative tools that don’t add unnecessary demand.

Who creates Calm Color Books?

All books and pages are created by Sabine, inspired by her son Hidde (autism), their dachshund Silver, and her own experience with invisible illness. The focus is on calm, inclusion, and emotional safety.
