About My Story
Hi, I'm Sabine, creator of Calm Color Books. As someone living with ME/CFS for 23 years, with a late autism diagnosis, and CPTSD, alongside being a parent to a child with similar challenges (autism, OCD, anxiety, among other things), I understand firsthand the need for truly calming, inclusive coloring experiences.
I created Calm Color Books because I couldn't find coloring pages and books that didn't cause overwhelm for my son and me. Most coloring books on the market are too busy, too stimulating, or not designed with neurodiversity in mind. My books are different — they're specifically designed to be calming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.
You'll find wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and rest moments naturally included because representation matters. The individual coloring pages feature diverse characters, while my coloring books center around my son Hidde, my dachshund Silver and myself, and everyday inclusive moments. These are therapeutic art experiences that support wellbeing rather than add stress.
